In this role, you will negotiate power supply contracts across the region and mainly in Asia Pacific to build the world’s largest Gas Turbine fleet. You will need to be able to identify key market conditions, regulations, and risks to help evaluate potential and profitable opportunities. Your capacity to analyze data, financial proficiency, and proactive approach are crucial for success in this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Create budgetary and firm bids in collaboration with new units, service bid management, and sales teams.
  2. Proactively complete full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase in accordance with SE’s Project Excellence Guide.
  3. Lead and guide new team members on compliance with SE business excellence procedures.
  4. Analyze tender requirements and manage risks in the commercial area (such as currency risks, financial security instruments, payment plans, insurances, tax, ECC and compliance) and negotiate terms and conditions.
  5. Collaborate with regional colleagues to develop business models and value flows for onshore and offshore service projects considering the contractual set-up of projects.
  6. Drive service business development initiatives focused on recycling, refurbishment, and digitalization.
  7. Prepare financial concepts and conduct business modeling for advanced service products in coordination with various teams.
  8. Monitor productivity and success of new units and services, ensuring effective feedback loops with the commercial project management team.

What You Bring

  1. Over 10 years of experience in the utility and energy industry, with a focus on long-term commercial experience in both bid and project management in new equipment and service environments.
  2. Extensive power transaction and contracting experience in Asia, or international energy markets.
  3. More than 8 years of expertise in energy markets, trading, contract negotiations, regulations, and energy generation technologies.
  4. Proven ability to evaluate energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating energy sourcing opportunities and technologies.
  5. Familiarity with energy credit programs, combined cycle project development, power forecasting and scheduling.
  6. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong presentation skills for management.
  7. Excellent communication skills in English, with Chinese as additional assets; experienced in integrating diverse perspectives in a team-oriented environment.
  8. Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders, including utilities, renewable project developers, regional power planning agencies, and project investors, along with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
