The Commercial Manager supports the hotel’s strategic management by establishing effective relationships with senior colleagues such as the General Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Finance, and Director of Human Resources. The role involves advising the General Manager on strategic planning, business development, maintaining brand standards, and hotel image.

What will I be doing?

As the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Providing support to the General Manager in achieving strategic goals.
• Participating in the development of departmental and hotel policies.
• Planning and executing marketing strategies and promotional plans.
• Overseeing sales and marketing initiatives.
• Setting objectives for the Business Development team and conducting performance reviews.
• Monitoring industry trends and marketing activities.
• Managing marketing activities and departmental resources.
• Conducting market research and establishing pricing strategies.
• Handling special projects and business enterprises.
• Managing departmental expenses, budgets, and revenue systems.
• Maintaining promotional materials and reporting on sales and marketing effectiveness.
• Overseeing human resources functions within the department, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Ensuring guest relations and client services are maintained at high standards.
• Implementing cost-saving measures and ensuring compliance with Hilton standards and policies.
• Liaising with corporate offices and other departments to maximize sales opportunities.
• Promoting the hotel’s image and services in the community and media.
• Participating in sales and marketing events and conducting promotion trips.
• Maintaining good market relationships locally and internationally.
• Updating revenue plans and ensuring system accuracy.
• Adhering to security, emergency, and hotel policies.
