About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Color Technician to join our team at SMK RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD. in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Color Technician, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing processes, ensuring the consistent and accurate production of our products. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in colour formulation and management.

What you'll be doing

Analyse, match and reproduce colour samples to meet customer specifications

Formulate and prepare colour tints, dyes and pigments to achieve desired colours

Operate and maintain colour measurement and testing equipment to ensure accurate colour matching

Maintain detailed records of colour recipes and adjust formulations as required

Provide technical support and advice to production teams on colour-related matters

Collaborate with R&D and quality assurance teams to continuously improve colour management processes

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices in colour technology

What we're looking for

Those who have no prior experience in the field but eager to learn, are encouraged to apply

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Color Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

SPM minimum requirement but High school dropouts are encouraged to apply

Excellent technical understanding of colour measurement, testing and quality control procedures

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve colour-related issues

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
