Objectives of the Position
  • Execute collection activities for assigned customer/country portfolios following global and regional guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure delivery requirements are met as per service level agreements and KPIs/targets for process efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service Stakeholders and global counterparts to ensure smooth processes.
Main Responsibilities and Key Activities

Functional Tasks (including but not limited to):

  • Manage daily overdue worklists through collection calls/emails and document customer contact results for assigned portfolios.
  • Identify disputes and collaborate with Accounts Receivables, Credit Risk managers, and sales or customer service teams to resolve them.
  • Support Credit Risk Management with active reminding activities, collection strategies, order block management, etc.
  • Work with senior team members to achieve operational objectives and targets.
  • Discuss follow-up measures with internal teams and related parties based on regular reporting.
  • Participate in training to improve knowledge, technical, and communication skills.

Compliance:

  • Participate in audits and respond to queries, ensuring documentation and processes meet BASF policies, legal, and statutory requirements.

Quality and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct end-user training when needed.
  • Support knowledge transfer and share best practices within the team.

Others:

  • Support Business Continuity Plans through resource planning and communication.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by management or changing business needs.

Additional responsibilities for Associate Analyst include acting as a country cluster coordinator, a topic owner for Collection Services, and supporting projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accounting or related fields; Professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA are a plus.

Experience & Skills:

  • Fresh graduates or with 1-2 years of relevant experience; experience in shared services or BPO is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and other languages as required.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting is beneficial but not mandatory.
