Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is expanding its Quality Control team for a major Pipe Mill project in Malaysia near Kuantan. Four inspectors will cover two shifts, ensuring continuous coating inspection coverage on Anti-Corrosion and Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) activities.

This independent contractor role is planned for approximately 6 months, with start at end of October. Ideal candidates have API 5L experience and a background in coating QC within industrial environments, collaborating with

Qualifications

• API 5L experience mandatory and must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Anti-Corrosion Coating activities.
• Inspect Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) activities.
• Monitor coating application and production activities during the assigned shift.
• Perform and witness inspections and testing per approved procedures and project requirements.
• Verify coating materials, processes and application parameters against specs.
• Review inspection results and identify deviations or non-conformities.
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate findings to Lead Inspector and stakeholders.
• Support identification, reporting and follow-up of quality issues and corrective actions.
• Promote safe working practices and a culture of quality and excellence.
