Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking experienced Coating Inspectors for a pipe mill project in Malaysia near Kuantan. The role requires independent work during assigned shifts to cover anti-corrosion and concrete weight coating operations, ensuring compliance with API 5L and project specifications.

Ideal candidates have proven coating inspection experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to communicate findings to the Lead Inspector and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven practical experience with API 5L is mandatory.
• Experience as a Coating Inspector/QC Inspector in pipe mills or similar environments.
• Experience inspecting Anti-Corrosion Coating and, if possible, Concrete Weight Coating.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection coverage across coating operations during the assigned shift.
• Monitor coating activities to ensure compliance with API 5L and project specs.
• Perform and witness inspections and testing; review results for deviations.
• Ensure timely completion of inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Communicate findings to Lead Inspector and project stakeholders.
• Promote safe working practices and uphold quality culture.
