Mixxion seeks a skilled CNC turning Machinist / Programmer. Responsibilities include programming, machine setting and maintenance to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work efficiently to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • CNC Turning Programming: Prepare the program and setup sheet for the CNC Turning; Ensure proper instructions for tools and workpiece setup and holding securely, including correct cutting tools use and preparation; Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Quality Control: Perform IPQC on parts and components using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications; Make necessary adjustments to maintain the quality of work and accuracy of machined parts.
  • Production Management: Evaluate the machining process and reduce cycle time while keeping product quality at its best; Identify possible improvements in production such as work holding, tool management, and collaborate with the team to resolve problems; Monitor and maintain production schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects; A proactive approach to continuous improvement and compliance with the ISO quality management system.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Precision Machining. Technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC Turning programming and setting.
  • Technical Skills: Capable of doing programming and setting independently, accurately and confidently. Able to program with MasterCAM is an advantage. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges. Familiarity with Fanuc controllers for CNC machine operation. Good understanding of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances (GD&T) application.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Positive attitude and responsible character; Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced machine shop; Ability to arrive on time and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
