Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager / Senior Manufacturing Engineer to operate CNC routers, laser marking, and conventional machines, ensuring parts meet drawings and specs. The role includes production planning support, asset management, and process improvements in Prai, Penang.

Responsibilities cover machining operations, quality checks, equipment maintenance, and coordination with engineers and supervisors to meet project timelines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Professional Certificate, SKM or Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Precision Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Router machines to fabricate housings, plates, and components per drawings and specs.
• Prepare workpieces, load materials, set parameters, monitor operations, adjust offsets, deburr and inspect products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specs and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances, design specs and quality standards.
• Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks; identify defects and propose corrective actions.
• Support laser marking and tagging to produce equipment identification tags and labels.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers and Production Supervisors to meet project schedules.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC routers, laser marking, and conventional machining equipment.
• Ensure safe operations, PPE usage, and adherence to QMS and PQP.
