Job description

• Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints
• Use computer software to write programs, establish sequence of operations, model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
• Check completed programs by running simulations or test
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Select proper tools/fixtures/attachments required to cut materials and program machines accordingly
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
• Supervise the operators in the machining department
• Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of machining centre experience and knowledge
• Read and interpret technical drawing
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
