Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced CNC Engineering Manager (Assembly Engineering) to own CNC‑machined and sheet‑metal parts from NPI to mass production. You will coordinate CNC processes, incoming quality, and tooling while bridging machining to downstream assembly.

Lead assembly process planning, jig/fixture design, and full process solutions. Drive NPI activities, RCAs and CAPAs, mentor engineers, and coordinate with design, production, quality, and suppliers on complex issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Mechatronic Engineering.
• 6‑8 years hands‑on CNC machining and assembly engineering; ≥3 years in supervisory role.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; interpret 3D/2D drawings and GD&T.
• CAM basics: NX / Mastercam; deep programming not required.
• Metals: aluminum, stainless, carbon steel; assembly principles like torque control.
• Familiar with NPI, FAI/PPAP, FMEA, SOP, 8D, RCA and CAPA; ISO knowledge is a plus.
• Soft skills: cross‑department coordination and project management.
• Willing to work on-site and overtime as needed; English and local language capability.

Responsibilities

• Take overall engineering ownership from NPI to mass production for CNC and sheet‑metal parts.
• Lead assembly process planning for sub‑assemblies and units; define sequences and tooling.
• Design jigs, fixtures and pressing tooling; deliver full assembly process solutions.
• Manage cross‑functional projects with design, CNC, production, quality and supply‑chain teams.
• Drive NPI activities, FAI, prototype builds and pilot runs; ensure smooth handover to mass production.
• Resolve mass‑production issues; lead RCA and 8D/CAPA actions.
