Job summary

The CMM Programmer/Inspector will operate, program, and maintain Hexagon CMM systems to perform precision measurement and quality inspection of manufactured parts. You will develop measurement routines, analyze data, and document results to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include creating inspection plans, performing calibrations, and generating reports. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, support audits, and help

Qualifications

• Experience operating and programming Hexagon CMM machines (PC‑DMIS/MODUS)
• Ability to interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and drawings
• Strong data analysis and report generation skills
• Experience with calibration procedures and Gage R&R is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office; basic statistical tools

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Hexagon CMM machines, including setup, calibration, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Develop, program, and optimize CMM measurement routines and inspection programs using Hexagon software; write and test part programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Perform precision measurement and quality inspection of manufactured parts; execute measurement programs and collect dimensional data.
• Analyze measurement results and generate inspection reports; compare measurements to tolerances and GD&T specifications.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain inspection documentation including reports, calibration records, and logs.
• Maintain CMM calibration and verification using reference standards; ensure measurement system repeatability.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and QA to establish inspection plans and communicate results.
• Assist with quality audits, FAI, and special inspection projects; provide measurement support as needed.
• Maintain CMM equipment cleanliness and schedule maintenance; stay updated with software and standards.
