Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a skilled software engineer to enhance and maintain comprehensive software solutions supporting the company's digital platforms across the asset lifecycle. You will collaborate with stakeholders, design robust systems, implement, test, and deploy code, and create documentation to ensure scalable, secure applications.

The role requires strong programming skills, experience with cloud and CI/CD, and a proactive approach in a global energy technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred for senior or specialized roles.
• Certifications such as Azure Developer, AWS Developer or CSD are a plus.
• Proficiency in English for communication and documentation.
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain software applications and solutions per business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into technical specs.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code with proper documentation.
• Integrate applications with databases and third‑party services.
• Create and maintain API documentation and system diagrams.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with teammates on code changes.
• Deploy applications to production, monitor performance, and troubleshoot.
