Job Summary

Experienced in managing complex multi-cloud environments for both financial and technical matters. Skilled at translating business requirements into technical solutions without compromising security and operational standards. Passionate about staying updated on industry developments, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices in cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex, multi-cloud cost and performance datasets to optimize usage and rates. Identify opportunities for cost savings and track issues to resolution.
• Follow up with platform PIC to ensure accurate workload provisioning.
• Participate in architectural discussions to advise on cost-efficient technology choices. Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud financial management and cost-effective architecture.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to support them with FinOps tools, frameworks, processes, and data.
• Deploy and maintain FinOps tools, providing training to end users as needed.
• Investigate cost anomalies to identify root causes and communicate corrective actions.
• Stay informed on cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and FinOps methodologies.
• Create accurate cloud spend forecasts and evaluate monthly expenditures against annual budgets. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure proper management of cloud transactions.
• Provide regular cost and usage reports to key personnel and promote a culture of cost accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience managing resources in AWS and/or Azure.
• 1-3 years of FinOps or Cloud Operations experience.
• Technical knowledge of core AWS and Azure services.
• Certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or Azure Fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud financial management platforms like Corent, Cloudability, CloudZero, FinOut, AWS Cloud Intelligence Dashboards, Azure FinOps Hub, or similar.
• Strong data analysis skills, able to support recommendations with metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
