About the role

As a Cloud Architect at Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and efficient cloud-based solutions. This is a contract role based in Kuala Lumpur, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to the company's strategic initiatives.

What you'll be doing

1. Analyze business requirements and translate them into cloud architecture and design.
2. Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking resources.
3. Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing on-premises systems.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to developers, IT operations, and other stakeholders.
6. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the cloud environment.
7. Contribute to the development of cloud-related processes, tools, and best practices.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
• Minimum of 10 years of working experience, including at least 3 years in a cloud lead position.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and operating in AWS. Expertise in Azure and OCI is an advantage.
• Ability to devise, drive, and implement cloud strategies and draft Cloud Standards, Frameworks, including Architecture Design and Operation SOPs.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions on major platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts such as virtualization, containerization, serverless, and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks used in cloud development.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
