Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Clinical Specialist, reporting to the Business Development Manager, to be based in Malaysia. In this role, the successful Clinical Specialist will have the opportunity to support business growth by providing industry leading clinical and surgical support to Cochlear’s key customers. This role is responsible for assessing clinical capability and execution of plans to increase recipients’ quality of care and support the achievement of sales targets.
In this role, you will:
Provide clinical expertise to our professional partners as an expert of Cochlear, and provide surgical support for the Cochlear product portfolio in key / targeted / identified accounts.
Establish strong relationships with all key stakeholders in the assigned territory/accounts (surgeons, audiologists or purchasing departments, etc.)
Implement clinical plans to enable hearing professionals and clinics to manage and support the hearing impaired and post- Cochlear Implant (CI) surgery follow-ups.
Identify training needs of internal and external stakeholders, and design/customise training programs to fulfil customer needs. Achieve business growth through the education of products, including technical trainings and product launches for professionals, patient candidacy, selection and evaluation, surgery and post implantation management.
In partnership with Business Development Manager, implement business and marketing plans to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.
Provide market intelligence and competitive information, which can be utilised in developing effective ways to approach current and potential customers.
Conduct device integrity testing and convey the results to the managing audiologists or surgeon and the patient/family when appropriate.
Coordinate and assist with research studies and clinical trials with Cochlear employees and clinics.
You Bring Your Skills and Experience
As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Minimum:
Tertiary qualifications in Audiology or biomedical sciences or health sciences field
Minimum two years’ experience in clinical application/development roles
Clinical certificate of competency (ASA/AcAud or Equivalent)
Registration with country professional registration board
Successful applicant will demonstrate a flexible work style, good communication skills and ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to prioritise
Ideal:
Post-graduate qualifications (Diploma or Masters) in Audiology
Clinical application experience in the hearing field
Prior clinical experience, preferably with Cochlear implants, and/or demonstrated experience/knowledge in cochlear implant surgical settings.
