Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to perform testing and analyses with precision to support clinical diagnoses, medical research, and patient care. The role emphasizes reliability of results through standardized procedures and rigorous quality control.

You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, ensure LIS protocol adherence, contribute to quality improvement, and assist in training and safety compliance across the lab in our Malaysia facilities.

Qualifications

• Adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 15189 standards; maintain related records.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Maintain cleanliness, ensure adequate supplies, support new service implementations.
• Participate in risk management, HIRARC, 5S, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
• Promote safety practices and proper handling of hazardous materials and waste management.
• Provide statistical data including quality improvement and antibiogram reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of laboratory services, including specimen testing and reporting.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments and analyzers.
• Assist in policy documentation, quality assurance, and cost control.
• Train and mentor junior staff; participate in orientation programs.
• Assist in planning and implementing new services.
