Clinical Instructor – Medical & Surgical Units
Overview

Supervise, support, guide nurses in providing nursing service activities to patients and in the ward. Assume the responsibilities of a nurse in charge of the unit as and when required. Assist in teaching and providing support to nurses and maintaining their knowledge, skills and competencies in the ward. Assist the nurses in safeguarding patient by abiding to infection control policies, protocols and rules regarding the administration and storage of medication. Support the ongoing development of nurses through coaching, mentoring and role modelling. Provide guidance on the planning, implementation, and delivery of nursing care for emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients and families. Act as a role model and mentor for nurses and health care workers. Evaluate the proficiency level of the nurses’ strength and shortcoming. Create a plan to address these area. Strive to stimulate the interest of nurses’ aspect of clinical practice and to encourage innovative thinking and approaches to practice.

Job Requirements

SRN with Degree in Nursing/Post Basic to relevant ward and registered with Malaysia Nursing Board.

Minimum five (5) years related working experience.

Good interpersonal and communication skill in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
