Clinical Coordinator

Plan, organize, and coordinate student clinical placements in hospitals, community health centers, and various healthcare facilities.

Liaise with healthcare institutions, clinical instructors, and hospital management to secure sufficient clinical training slots.

Ensure clinical placements meet curriculum and nursing accreditation requirements.

Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and hospital staff to address clinical placement issues.

Review and update affiliation agreements with hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Assess students’ clinical performance through direct observation, case presentations, and skill demonstrations.

Evaluate students’ professionalism, communication skills, teamwork, and critical thinking in clinical settings.

Assist the OSCE Coordinator in setting up OSCE stations and serve as an OSCE examiner.

Conduct regular meetings with hospital preceptors and clinical instructors to monitor student progress and gather feedback.

Participate actively in curriculum development and reviews, particularly clinical training components.

Provide input for curriculum improvement, incorporating feedback from students and healthcare institutions.

Support marketing and outreach activities to promote nursing programs.

Perform other academic and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Must possess minimum Diploma in Nursing recognized by Malaysian Nursing Board.

Must be a registered nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Possession of Post-Basic Certification is an added advantage.

Community experience or post-basic specialty in Obstetrics Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Gerontology, or Medical Surgical Nursing is an added advantage.

Must have minimum 5 years of clinical working experience as a registered nurse.

At least 3 years working experience as a clinical coordinator or in a related field is required for this position.
