Job summary

A leading eye care facility in Kuala Lumpur seeks dedicated Clinic Assistants to provide clinical support, uphold patient safety, and manage clinic operations. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum SPM/Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistance, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute positively to patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum SPM/Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Are you passionate about healthcare and eager to make a difference in patients' lives? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Clinic Assistants to join our team at our current clinics and upcoming new centres!

Role of Clinic Assistant
  • Clinical Support: Deliver safe, high-quality care. Directly assist the doctor during patient examinations, coordinate and execute care orders, and competently perform specific procedures such as visual acuity and eye dressing.
  • Safety & Infection Control: Uphold high standards of patient safety and care. Rigorously follow Infection Prevention Control SOPs and ensure all work surfaces are meticulously cleaned and disinfected.
  • Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain accurate inventory and monitor expiry dates for all clinic consumables and eye drops. Ensure all medical equipment is functional and report any faults immediately.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Identify and flag priority patient cases for the doctor. Maintain accurate records of all infection cases and promptly report all patient and staff incidents to the superior.
  • Team Development: Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff and participate in all required professional development and in-service training programs.
  • Other additional duties as assigned from time to time by the superior and management
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has
  • Minimum SPM/Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant or relevant working experience in the related field.
  • Has previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting (preferred but not required)
  • Compassionate, works well in a team and communicates effectively, reliable, and has a pleasant personality.
  • Good command of written and verbal communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia. Being able to speak Mandarin is an added advantage
