Job summary

WD is seeking a Contamination Control Technician to maintain a controlled cleanroom by performing environmental surveys, sampling, and adherence to cleanroom protocols. You will support production quality and regulatory standards in a high-sensitivity environment.

The role involves routine and event-driven sampling, environmental monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve contamination issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certs in environmental science/cleanroom preferred.
• 12-hour shift schedule including days/nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleanroom environmental surveys and area buy-offs (velocity, leak scan, particle counts, surface contamination).
• Conduct routine/event-driven sampling of equipment, process tools and materials for cleanliness compliance.
• Measure/analyze process samples to monitor contamination.
• Execute routine buy-off sampling to qualify areas/equipment for operation.
• Enforce gowning and contamination prevention practices; manage indirect materials."
• Maintain documentation of inspections and results per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate contamination and drive improvements.
