Job summary

HL Assurance Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Claims Executive in Kuala Lumpur to manage personal lines claims (travel, maid, medical, home, motor, cyber) and ensure timely processing. You will assess liability, calculate payable amounts, and respond to enquiries in line with company procedures.

The role requires a Diploma, at least 1 year of claims experience, and willingness to pursue General Insurance certifications after hours. Mandarin speakers are preferred for customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in tertiary education.
• At least 1 year of hands-on claims experience in personal lines.
• General Insurance certificates (BCP, PGI, ComGI and HI) would be an additional advantage.
• Willing to study and complete General Insurance certifications after office hours.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage mainly personal lines claims including travel, maid, medical, home, motor and cyber.
• To ensure accurate and prompt claims processing within stipulated turnaround time.
• Access policy liability, compute and determine claims amount payable based on policy cover and in accordance with Company guidelines and claims authority limit.
• Handle all claims related phone and email enquiries in accordance with Company procedures.
• Study claims history and highlight any abnormalities or repeated complaints to direct reporting manager, Head of Claims and any internal departments on need-to-know basis.
• Cross-collaboration with other departments internally.
• Liaise with all stakeholders, including service providers, intermediaries and partners.
• Participate and engage in any digital or process improvement projects as assigned by the Company.
• Any ad-hoc duties when assigned

Claims Executive

Main Responsibilities:

Manage mainly personal lines claims including travel, maid, medical, home, motor and cyber

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in tertiary education

At least 1 year of hands-on claims experience in personal lines preferred.

General Insurance (BCP, PGI, ComGI and HI) certificates would be an additional advantage.

Willing to study and complete General Insurance (BCP, PGI, ComGI and HI) certifications after office hours.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Good analytical and decision making skills, meticulous with attention to details.

Customer-oriented, adaptable, excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Candidates that are able to converse in Mandarin is preferred. This is to converse with Chinese customers.

5-day work week (Mon- Fri, 9 am - 6 pm)

Contract to Permanent role
