Job summary

A leading company in civil and structural engineering is seeking a Structural Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will support project planning and execution while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Strong knowledge of structural materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team in planning and coordinating civil and structural works.
• Perform civil and structural analysis and design engineering work.
• Ensure activities on site comply with safety standards and project specifications.

Job description

Support the project team in planning, scheduling, executing, coordinating the civil and structural works

Perform civil & structural analysis/ calculation and design engineering work for assigned projects

Carry out inspection & periodically checking to ensure activities on site are in accordance to approved inspection test plan

Review and verify drawings for accuracy and completeness for construction and material planning

Coordinate with site in-charge for inspection and meeting about technical and engineering matters

Monitor project work progress and ensure compliance with drawings, design specifications, regulations and safety standards

Review and make recommendations in relation to equipment and resource requirements, to effectively and efficiently deliver projects

Communicate and liaise with client’s representative, subcontractors, relevant authorities and consultants for project related matters and requirements

Ensure the project is constructed on time and within budget as per contract plan and specification

Provide and prepare work progress, update site issue and report to manager

Other tasks & projects as assigned from time to time

Requirements

At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): AutoCAD Software, Microsoft Office

Possess good communication skills.

Strong knowledge of structural materials, construction techniques, and building codes and regulations

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Able to work overtime if required.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Able to start work ASAP.
