Job summary

Law Chambers of Vin Sa & Ian (Johor Bahru Branch) invites applications for the position of Litigation Lawyer to join our General Civil Litigation practice. You will handle general civil litigation and dispute resolution, conduct legal research, draft cause papers and pleadings, attend case managements and hearings, and liaise with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and admitted as Advocate & Solicitor with practising certificate
Minimum one year post-qualification experience, preferably in general civil litigation
Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills with attention to detail
Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure
Diligent, reliable, and with good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Handle general civil litigation and dispute resolution matters, including file management
Conduct legal research and draft cause papers, pleadings, submissions, affidavits, and other court documents
Attend case managements, hearings, and other court proceedings at all levels of the Malaysian courts
Prepare status reports and provide updates to Partners and clients
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court officers, and relevant authorities
Assist Partners and senior lawyers in trial preparation and the conduct of trials where required
Perform any other duties or legal work assigned by the firm from time to time
