Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Reeracoen Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a diligent engineer to perform technical and engineering duties in compliance and project delivery.

The role covers design, specifications, cost estimates, permits, and coordination with developers and contractors to ensure project success in the local authority framework.

Strong communication and coordination with stakeholders are essential to support project management, hearings, and site supervision throughout construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and engineering duties in line with compliance requirements.
• Prepare engineering design, specifications, costs and quantity estimates.
• Provide support to development review processes and planning meetings.
• Prepare RFPs and bids; review contracts and consulting designs.
• Review computations, layouts, and designs from field and survey data.
• Research codes and regulations; develop engineering plans and specs.
• Coordinate bid advertising and assist construction management.
• Ensure design complies with city standards for public works.
• Represent Project Manager when required and monitor construction progress.

Job description

• Responsible to perform technical and engineering duties according to all related compliance
• Prepare engineering design, specification, costs and quantity estimate of work project; obtain required easement or permit from local authority
• Provide engineering support to development review process, including support during hearing/pre-application conference/planning commission meeting/kick off meeting
• Prepare request for proposal and bid, review contract bid and proposal, assist in the coordination and review of consultatol design work
• Review and check adequacy and accuracy of computation, preliminary layout and design work from the field and survey data
• Research applicable code, regulation and requirement for assigned project, develop engineering plan and compile preliminary layout of plan, write specification for plan, coordinate required advertising for bid, perform construction management, advise contractor and site supervisor during actual construction
• Review developer plan and specification within scope of knowledge for the appropriate design of public work project and compliance with city standard
• Represent Project Manager on Project Management issue in absence of Project Manager
• Monitor of construction project and prepare progress report
