Job summary

LANDBASE (KOK) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to supervise construction activities at the project site in Kuching. The role requires coordinating with PMs, contractors, and consultants to ensure drawings, specifications, and schedules are followed.

Ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years of site experience, preferably in road construction, with proficiency in MS Project, MS Office and AutoCAD. Travel to outstations may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years site experience (preferably road construction).
• Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel to site/outstation; Kuching-based site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure all construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Monitor project progress and prepare site reports and related documentation.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, contractors, consultants, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Closely liaise with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and clients regarding project matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Assist in resolving site issues and provide technical support when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience (preferably in road construction).
• Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Responsible and good time management skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervisor.
• Ability to converse in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Willing to work at site and travel outstation when required.
• Site based in Kuching.
• Candidates who can start work immediately or on short notice will have an added advantage.
