Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Designer/Modeller in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to join the Energy & Power team across APAC. Your role will include delivering high-quality 3D civil models and supporting multidisciplinary engineering solutions on infrastructure and power projects.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and similar tools. This role emphasizes collaboration within teams, commitment to quality and safety, and adherence to Jacobs’ standards.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Civil Designer/Modeller to join our Energy & Power team across APAC, supporting the delivery of civil design and modelling services on infrastructure and power projects.

In this role, you will contribute to project delivery through high-quality modelling, technical design support, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, while maintaining Jacobs’ standards for quality, safety, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate 3D civil models and design outputs for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure.
• Support design development, including preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform design checks and contribute to review/assurance activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
• Support project delivery to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate with drafting and modelling teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Assist in preparing quantities and cost-related inputs.
• Ensure compliance with Jacobs QA processes and standards.
• Contribute to a strong safety and inclusion culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in civil modelling and/or design.
• Strong experience in 3D modelling for roads and drainage.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), or 12D.
• Understanding of roads, drainage, and/or pavement design principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
