Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Chinese OPI/VRI Interpreter. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and professional interpretation services between Chinese and English over the phone (OPI) and through video calls (VRI). Daily tasks will include interpreting conversations in real-time, ensuring clear and precise communication, and maintaining confidentiality. The Interpreter will engage with various industries, including healthcare, legal, and customer service settings, to facilitate effective communication.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese and English, both spoken and written
• Proven experience in over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI)
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to convey meaning accurately
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to accurately convey messages
• Proficiency with interpreting equipment and technologies
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
• Certification in interpreting or related field preferred
• Experience in healthcare, legal, or customer service interpreting is a plus
