A Banquet Chef assists in preparing and presenting food according to hotel standards, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

What will I be doing?
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting food in the cooking section.
  • Assembling ingredients and equipment before service.
  • Cooking all food items.
  • Ensuring efficient kitchen operation during service.
  • Following standards set by the Chinese Head Chef.
  • Handling groceries and perishable items properly.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and good condition of work areas and equipment.
  • Maintaining product knowledge and recommending adjustments to kitchen operations.
  • Participating in menu planning and costing.
  • Maintaining technical culinary skills and following recipes, standards, and plating guides.
  • Adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Using equipment and tools correctly.
  • Assisting with inventory.
  • Understanding hotel events and forecasts.
  • Preparing menus and new dishes for tasting and photography.
  • Receiving and giving constructive feedback positively.
  • Maintaining professionalism and team spirit.
  • Following hotel rules and supervising team members.
  • Coordinating kitchen production and checking ingredient assembly.
  • Practicing discipline and proper hygiene standards.
  • Monitoring food quality and costs.
  • Suggesting menu and concept updates.
  • Selecting team members who reflect department standards.
  • Overseeing cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of the kitchen.
  • Controlling food costs to maximize profit and guest satisfaction.
  • Promoting teamwork and adherence to policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • High School diploma.
  • 5-8 years of Chinese kitchen experience, with at least 2 years as First Wok.
  • Preferably, technical education in hospitality or culinary arts.
