Role Overview:

A Banquet Chef assists in cooking and food presentation according to hotel standards and ensures smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food in the cooking section.
  • Ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready prior to service.
  • Cook all food items and maintain the quality standards set by the Chinese Head Chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of work areas, equipment, and tools.
  • Participate in menu planning, costing, and new dish development.
  • Ensure HACCP standards are met and maintained.
  • Assist in inventory management and monitor food quality and costs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, maintain professionalism, and adhere to hotel policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of Chinese kitchen experience, with at least 2 years as First Wok.
  • Technical education in hospitality or culinary arts preferred.
  • Current sanitation certification and health certificate.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards.
  • Experience in international chain hotels preferred.
