Chiller Application Engineer Position (Junior Level)
Job Description & Functional Responsibilities
General Summary:
Provide application and technical support on DBM products for regional offices, sales offices, distributors, and customers.
Routine job exposure: primarily within the factory (80%-85%), with 15%-20% on job sites or meetings with customers. Only experienced engineers will be assigned to job site visits or customer meetings to ensure the company's image is well maintained.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, targeting 24 hours for standard inquiries and 48 hours for non-standard inquiries. Aim to convert inquiries into orders to generate revenue, striving for fast and accurate responses.
- Provide well-considered information and solutions for engineering design requests. Ensure pricing and costing are accurate, comprehensive, and cost-effective, avoiding margin erosion.
- Maintain punctuality, minimal absence, and productivity. Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to company objectives. Complete two self-development courses annually and train sales and new application engineers to enhance their understanding of application work. Assist the manager in leading the team when necessary.
- Engage proactively in technical discussions to enhance skills and independence. Collaborate with suppliers to better understand purchased products and work closely with production to understand design constraints. Keep engineering references organized and up-to-date to improve productivity.
- Lead inquiry resolution processes by coordinating with relevant departments to meet response time targets.
- Attend job sites or customer meetings upon sales team requests as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors as necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
- Fresh graduates are preferred.
