We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the development and execution of our entire technology strategy, spanning cloud infrastructure, AI architecture, data pipelines, and engineering management. This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing all technical functions and engineering teams to ensure our AI-powered health reports are secure, scalable, and clinically accurate.

About the role:

As CTO, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the technical vision of N1 Healthcare. You’ll oversee all engineering, cloud, and AI initiatives, and work closely with cross-functional teams including medical experts, AI engineers, and clinical operations. Your leadership will be critical in building robust, compliant, and high-performance systems that deliver personalized health reports powered by advanced AI.

You will directly lead a team of AI Engineers who are developing document generation pipelines using LLMs, LangChain, vector search, and medical NLP. You’ll also manage cloud infrastructure and ensure the seamless deployment of AI systems across secure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define and implement the overall technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and clinical goals.
2. Lead all technical departments, including AI engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security.
3. Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams with strong execution capabilities.
4. Guide the development of AI-driven systems for automated health report generation using LLMs, RAG, and LangChain workflows.
5. Oversee integration of medical NLP models (e.g., PubMedBERT, BioBERT, MedEmbed) for clinical accuracy and contextualization.
6. Ensure scalability and efficiency of AI pipelines processing large volumes of medical records, lab results, and genomic data.
7. Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) for high availability, performance, and security.
8. Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
9. Enforce best practices for data protection, privacy, and compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, HL7 FHIR, and SOC 2.
10. Oversee development of secure APIs to integrate EHRs, genomic datasets, and patient histories into AI systems.
11. Ensure full compatibility with healthcare standards and real-time data access needs.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership, with at least 3+ years in healthcare or AI-focused environments.
2. Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), AI/ML architecture, and scalable systems design.
3. Strong track record in leading AI/NLP teams building production-ready applications using LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Llama2), LangChain, and vector search (Weaviate, Pinecone, Milvus).
4. Experience with clinical data pipelines, ETL processes, and medical data structuring.
5. Strong understanding of compliance requirements and security frameworks in regulated environments.
6. Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django, and ML frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
7. Strategic mindset with excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
