Job summary

Perbadanan Ekonomi Islam Perak Sdn. Bhd. (PSB), the business and investment arm of MAIPk, Ipoh, seeks a Head of Strategy & Business Management Operations to lead strategic investment, corporate planning and performance monitoring.

The role integrates CPPM and SIBD portfolios and provides data‑driven insights to support Management and Board decisions. The role requires steering group‑wide planning, evaluating new business opportunities, and collaborating with subsidiaries to ensure alignment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy and planning, investment, business development, performance management or portfolio governance.
• Experience in a GLC, state‑linked organisation, diversified group or similar corporate environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Group’s strategic and business planning cycle, cascading corporate priorities across subsidiaries.
• Drive the identification and development of new business, investment and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Lead the evaluation of potential investments, including business cases, financial models, viability, risks and due diligence.
• Oversee KPI framework, performance monitoring and Management/Board reporting.
• Monitor the performance of strategic investments and key priorities.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the GCEO, Management and Board to support decision‑making.
• Work with subsidiaries and cross‑functional teams to ensure execution of strategic initiatives.
• Strengthen performance accountability and promote a high‑performance culture.
