Job Summary:
Ability to execute all tasks and functions of the stewarding department, supervise and coordinate the activities of all stewards to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department, ensure proper use of preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment by the stewarding team, and support all outlets and banquet functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervising Staff: Managing and training the stewarding team to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization practices.
2. Inventory Management: Keeping track of kitchen supplies, equipment, and food storage, and ensuring timely restocking.
3. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations and maintaining high hygiene standards.
4. Collaboration: Working closely with chefs and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
5. Budgeting: Managing resources efficiently and preparing budgets for the stewarding department.
6. Other duties as assigned by management, such as assisting other departments to support operations.

Qualifications:

1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is often the minimum requirement. Additional certifications or diplomas in hospitality management or a related field can be advantageous.
2. Experience: Several years of experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in stewarding or supervisory roles.
3. Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail and organizational abilities, and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Additional Requirements: Some positions may require specific certifications, such as food safety or sanitation training.
