Morgan Philips is working exclusively with a Global Leader in the manufacturing space on the search for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead manufacturing operations.

This visionary leader will drive profitable growth by optimizing efficiency, managing capital expenditure, and expertly navigating complex supply chains.

Role will be based in the Malaysia – open to expatriates but priority to local candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence & Efficiency: Oversee all manufacturing, quality, and logistics, resolving bottlenecks and implementing lean principles to enhance productivity and quality.
• Strategic & Low-CapEx Scaling: Develop and execute operational strategies to scale the business while keeping capital expenditure low.
• P&L Mastery: Hold full P&L responsibility for operations, focusing on cost management, revenue generation, and optimizing budgets for profitability.
• Global Supply Chain & Trade: Manage end-to-end supply chain, procurement, import/export, and supplier relationships.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing operations, procurement, and supply chain team, fostering continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring:

• 15+ years of leadership in operations and manufacturing, specifically in industrial, building materials, steel / metal, automotive, consumer electronics manufacturing
• Proven team leadership over 200-1000+ headcounts across Factory Operations, Engineering, Production, Procurement and Logistics.
• P&L ownership experience with strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision making.
• Proven expertise in managing manufacturing / factory operations, cost-efficient scaling, and global supply chain/trade.
