A leading company in property development is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee operations across multiple divisions. The role offers a competitive salary and additional compensation including commissions and bonuses. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in property development, strong leadership skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
Position Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Kuching, Sarawak
Salary: RM13,000 – RM18,000 per month
Additional Compensation: Monthly commissions + Performance bonus
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Reporting To: Executive Vice President, GCOO, Property Development
Car allowance: RM3,000 per month
Medical outpatient: RM1,700/year (married), RM2,100/year (with children)
Dental/Optical allowance: RM1,500 per year
Annual leave: 25 days
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day operations across development, construction, sales, and finance divisions
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of property development projects
Translate corporate strategies into actionable operational plans and initiatives
Monitor and optimize project performance, including ROI, cost per sq ft, and EBITDA
Oversee project feasibility, budgeting, scheduling, and due diligence
Ensure strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with government authorities and partners
Supervise financial planning and operational budget management
Identify operational risks and implement improvement strategies
Promote cross-departmental collaboration and ensure compliance with quality standards
Requirements
Malaysian citizen based in Sarawak
Aged between 45 to 60 years
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum 10 years’ senior-level experience in the property development industry
Proven track record managing multiple property development projects
Strong network and experience in stakeholder engagement with government bodies
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of BIM software is an advantage
Strong leadership, decision-making, and operational planning skills
