Function description

At iPS Powerful People, we are always on the lookout for talented professionals to join our pool for future offshore projects. While we do not have a specific job opening at the moment, we are proactively building a pool of qualified candidates who are ready to mobilize quickly for upcoming opportunities.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime laws and regulations.
2. Operate and manage the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain the vessel's position and stability.
3. Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the DP system to ensure its reliability and accuracy.
4. Manage DP operations during critical tasks such as drilling, construction, or diving support.
5. Ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
6. Maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
7. Supervise and manage the deck crew, assigning tasks and overseeing their performance.
8. Coordinate with the engineering department to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment.

Requirements

1. Valid Chief Officer License or equivalent.
2. Valid Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) Certificate.
3. Extensive experience in offshore operations, with several years in a senior officer position.
4. Proven experience with Dynamic Positioning systems and offshore operations.
5. Strong leadership and management skills.
6. Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting DP systems.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. High level of attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
