Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an Executive Vice President of Fleet Technical & Asset Management in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role leads technical operations, asset strategy, and capital investments to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant fleet.

The EVP will guide maintenance, lifecycle planning, and major capital projects, advising the CEO and Board while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization across OPEX and CAPEX. Strong leadership and maritime regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 20 years in maritime/offshore industry, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
Bachelor's/Master's in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, or related field.
Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Engineer (Class 1) Certificate of Competency preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the fleet technical and asset management strategy.
Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, upgrades, and technical operations.
Drive asset integrity, lifecycle management and fleet performance optimization.
Lead vessel acquisitions, fleet renewal, new builds, conversions, and major CAPEX projects.
Advise CEO and Board on technical strategy, asset investments, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification standards, and company policies.
Champion safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
Monitor technical performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets to maximize efficiency and asset value.
Lead and develop Technical, Fleet Management, and Asset Management teams.
Build relationships with clients, regulators, classification societies, shipyards, and stakeholders.
