As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of our investment bank, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and leading all aspects of financial operations. This full-time position, based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, requires a strong finance and banking background to drive growth and ensure long-term financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic financial leadership and direction to the executive team and Board of Directors
• Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Implementing robust financial controls and risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets
• Analysing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement
• Collaborating with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, forecast financial performance, and optimise resource allocation
• Ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the banking, investment, or broader financial services sector
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, with a strong understanding of financial management best practices
• Proven track record of implementing effective financial controls and risk management strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial decisions with the company's overall business objectives
• A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a high-performing finance team
