A leading company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to drive financial strategies and enhance business growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, possess strong leadership skills, and a profound knowledge of MFRS and IFRS. This role demands an individual capable of overseeing budgeting, risk management, and ensuring financial sustainability while leading high-performing financial teams.
Lead the development and execution of financial plans that enhance business expansion and maximize profitability.
Deliver financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making in line with corporate objectives.
Develop financial standards and evaluate performance against recognized best practices.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure efficient use of financial resources.
Implement effective risk management strategies to address credit, market, and operational risks.
Oversee capital raising, investment planning, and financial structuring activities.
Foster effective communication and collaboration with investors, stakeholders, fund managers, and regulatory bodies.
Lead financial assessments to support decision-making for investments, acquisitions, and high-impact projects.
Ensure financial statements adhere to MFRS, IFRS, Bursa Malaysia requirements, and other applicable regulations.
Manage tax planning, working capital, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Establish policies to ensure stable cash flow and long-term financial sustainability.
Restructure and lead the finance and accounting team to enhance operational efficiency.
Partner with the Group ED and senior leadership to support and execute strategic business transformation efforts.
Lead digital transformation and process enhancements within financial operations.
Qualification:
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking, and a professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, MIA, or an equivalent credential.
Minimum 15–20 years of experience, with a preference for candidates from public-listed companies in property development and construction.
Comprehensive understanding of financial consolidation, Malaysian and International Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS & IFRS), corporate reporting standards, Bursa Malaysia listing rules, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proven expertise in corporate finance, financial modeling, tax planning, and risk management.
Proven leadership experience in developing and managing high-performing finance teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
Strong skills in relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin is required. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
