Exceptional CFO opportunity to drive growth and profitability for a dynamic, fast-paced organisation. This is a full-time position at the executive level, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations and contributing to the overall organisational success.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Lead and align financial strategy with the group’s regional growth objectives in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Performance Management: Monitor and drive financial performance metrics (KPIs), ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, corporate policies, and statutory obligations.

2. Palm Industry Finance Oversight

Industry-Specific KPIs: Develop and track palm industry-specific financial indicators including yield, cost per hectare, and commodity price exposure.

Cost Control & Sustainability: Enhance cost management processes while integrating sustainability and ESG metrics into financial planning.

Supply Chain Finance: Ensure financial discipline across upstream and downstream operations, including logistics, milling, and exports.

3. ERP/ Accounting System

Digital Transformation: Oversee ERP implementation, finance digitalization initiatives, and ensure alignment of IT systems with finance strategy.

4. Group Corporate Finance

Capital Management: Oversee capital structuring, debt financing, working capital management, and liquidity planning.

Investment Evaluation: Lead financial feasibility studies and risk assessments for M&A, joint ventures, and greenfield projects.

Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

5. Group Treasury

Cash & Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash management, cash forecasting, and ensure liquidity to meet operational needs.

Banking Relationships: Maintain robust relationships with local and international banks, negotiate financing terms and facilities.

FX & Interest Rate Risk: Monitor and manage currency exposure and interest rate risks, including use of hedging instruments.

Treasury Controls: Implement best practices in treasury operations, ensuring security, compliance, and efficiency.

6. Group Finance, Accounting & Audit

Financial Reporting: Ensure timely, accurate, and IFRS-compliant financial statements and reports.

Audit Readiness: Lead internal and external audit preparations, issue resolutions, and implementation of recommendations.

Controls & Governance: Strengthen internal controls, risk management processes, and financial policies.

7. Regional Tax Planning

Cross-Border Tax Efficiency: Structure operations to optimize tax liabilities across Malaysia and Indonesia while complying with local regulations.

Transfer Pricing: Oversee intercompany pricing strategies and documentation to ensure tax efficiency and audit readiness.

Tax Risk Management: Proactively assess tax risks and lead negotiations or responses to tax authorities.

Job Requirements

Qualified accountant with 15 years of post-qualification experience.

Proven track record of success as a senior financial leader in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting and process improvement.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address financial challenges.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices specific to the plantation sector.

Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis and leveraging technology to drive insights.
