Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of the Group, including the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, forecasting for future growth, and establishing policies for the Group. This role is pivotal in driving the Group’s financial strategy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and fostering growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Develop and implement the financial strategy aligned with the Group’s overall goals.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Group Executive Chairman and the Executive team, offering insights on financial implications of business decisions.
• Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.

Financial Management:

• Oversee the preparation and communication of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure the Group’s financial health through rigorous cash flow management and efficient use of resources.
• Optimize the capital structure and recommend financing strategies.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax compliance.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing robust internal controls.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performing function.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the primary contact for investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders and the board of directors.
• Represent the Group in financial discussions with partners and vendors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have Chartered Qualifications such as ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA & etc.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent role.
• Proven track record of success in the retail industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of corporate financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
