Responsibilities:
- Lead advisory M&A including buy-side, sell-side, and capital raising.
- Manage global inbound and outbound transactions with international and national clients, including blue chip companies, emerging firms, and private equity.
- Oversee key transaction work streams, liaising directly with clients and external vendors/bidders.
- Prepare marketing materials and essential deal documents.
- Develop valuation, financial, and strategic analyses.
- Manage the due diligence process.
- Contribute proactively to business development.
- Support the company's vision and related business planning activities.
- Ensure development and implementation of financial and management information systems, policies, and procedures in line with group guidelines and statutory requirements.
- Lead the development and delivery of finance practices aligned with strategic goals, including initiatives related to tax, treasury, accounting, reporting, and risk management.
- Plan resources to achieve operational finance objectives.
- Identify business priorities and ensure finance activities add maximum value.
- Drive the implementation of the global target operating model for finance.
- Develop personnel to maintain high performance and leadership capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with QHSEMS and participate in its implementation.
- Communicate finance strategy clearly across the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Degree and professional accountancy qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA).
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar environment.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Solid knowledge of corporate financial practices.
- Understanding of the tobacco business including operations and marketing.
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SAP, BPC.
- Experience with transactions via Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Project Finance.
- Deep understanding of business fundamentals and macroeconomics.
- Strong valuation, financial analysis, and modeling skills, with ability to build models from scratch.
- Ability to prepare board presentations and stories.
- Knowledge of tools and techniques for transaction issues.
- Strong presence, confidence, and analytical skills.
- Excellent project management, coaching, and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Proven ability to manage full project cycles.
A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA, MBA) is highly regarded.
