Job Vacancy: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and visionary leader to join our team as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Job Scope:

As the CEO, you will be the driving force behind the company’s strategic direction, operations, and overall management. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the company in formulating and executing business strategies that align with our long-term goals and market dynamics.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with key external stakeholders, including trustee companies, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), business partners, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to relevant regulations, industry standards, and governance practices. Collaborate with legal, financial, and compliance teams to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Corporate Development: Oversee and manage investments, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. Build and maintain strong business relationships with key investors, strategic partners, and stakeholders.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, provide strategic guidance on investments, and ensure sound financial management practices are in place.
  • Shariah Compliance (if applicable): Ensure all business operations and investments align with Shariah principles where applicable, in coordination with the internal Shariah advisory board.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field. Professional certifications in Finance, Accounting, or Legal practice will be a plus.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of executive experience, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles, particularly in investment holding companies or financial institutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment management, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements in Malaysia, especially those set by the Securities Commission Malaysia.
  • Specialization in Legal, Finance, or Shariah Compliance: Experience in legal, financial, or Shariah-compliant business environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of the local regulatory landscape and ability to work closely with legal and compliance teams is crucial.
  • Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, regulators, and business partners. Strong negotiation abilities to ensure favorable business outcomes.
  • Strategic & Visionary Leadership: Ability to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and profitability while managing risk effectively.
  • Ethical & Transparent: A commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all business dealings.
