Job description

● Develop and implement growth strategies focusing on South East Asia markets in trade financing, fund management, and cross-border investments.

● Provide overall direction to the organization, aligning with corporate objectives and Labuan FSA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

● Develop and implement growth strategies focusing on South East Asia markets in trade financing, fund management, and cross-border investments.

● Provide overall direction to the organization, aligning with corporate objectives and Labuan FSA regulations.

Market Expansion:

● Establish a strong presence in Asia through partnerships, business development initiatives, and localized offerings.

● Build and expand trade financing solutions in the Asia market, supporting Chinese and regional trade clients.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

● Lead efforts to acquire and retain high-value clients in South East Asia.

● Build and nurture relationships with corporates, financial institutions, trading companies, and high-net-worth individuals to grow assets under management and trade financing portfolios.

Operational Oversight:

● Supervise all departments to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.

● Oversee the day-to-day operations including finance, marketing, risk management, and technology.

Profitability & Financial Management:

● Oversee the profitability of the company’s entire operations, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and cost management.

● Implement financial controls, budgeting processes, and reporting mechanisms to meet performance targets.

Regulatory Compliance:

● Ensure full compliance with Labuan FSA regulations, as well as cross-border regulations applicable to South East Asia clients.

● Manage legal and regulatory risks, including KYC/AML frameworks.

Risk Management:

● Identify and mitigate risks associated with trade financing, fund management, and cross-border investments.

● Manage exposure to currency, credit, and geopolitical risks.

Technology & Process Improvement:

● Drive technology initiatives to enhance client experience, including multilingual platforms and secure transaction systems.

Brand & Reputation Management:

● Serve as the company’s ambassador in South East Asia, and other key markets.

Develop marketing strategies that position the company as a leading trade financing and fund management partner for South East Asia-based clients.

Qualifications & Requirements:

● Master’s degree in Finance and Marketing , Business Administration, Banking, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

● Minimum of 10 years of experience in fund management, trade financing, or investment banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

● Proven track record in developing and expanding businesses in South East Asian markets.

● Deep understanding of Labuan FSA regulatory frameworks and cross-border compliance requirements.

● Strong financial acumen with experience in overseeing P&L, budgeting, and risk management.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to travel frequently to South East Asia, and other key markets.
