Chief Commercial Officer (Business Development) – Based in Laos

We are representing our client; a distinguished subsidiary of a renowned conglomerate in Laos, with nearly 50 years of legacy. As they continue to expand with the recent establishment of a new investment holding subsidiary, they are seeking for a Chief Commercial Officer (Business Development) to lead and accelerate their growth strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
   • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
   • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
   • Lead market research efforts to understand industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
2. Partnerships & Client Acquisition
   • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
   • Develop and negotiate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to enhance business growth.
   • Drive customer acquisition strategies and oversee sales efforts to expand the client base.
3. Revenue Generation & Profitability
   • Develop pricing strategies and business models that maximize profitability.
   • Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of revenue targets.
   • Work closely with finance and operations teams to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiencies.
4. Leadership & Team Management
   • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team.
   • Foster a results-driven culture focused on innovation, customer satisfaction, and market leadership.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product development, to drive business success.
   • Assess risks associated with new business ventures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
   • Develop strategies to mitigate potential financial and operational risks.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
   • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business development success.
   • Provide regular reports to senior management on business performance, opportunities, and challenges.
   • Continuously refine strategies based on performance data and market feedback.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or any related field.
2. More than 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles with strong network and industry knowledge in industry-specific expertise, e.g. banking, technology, healthcare, manufacturing.
3. Proven track record of securing high-value deals and expanding market reach.
4. Experience in managing and leading business development teams.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
7. Ability to drive results and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Proficiency in CRM tools, data analytics, and business intelligence software.
9. Understanding of revenue models, pricing strategies, and profitability.
10. Must be willing to be based in Laos.

Benefits and Other Info:

• One way moving allowance of RM 1,000.
• Working Visa cost to be borne by employer.
• Annual leave - 15 days.
• Medical leave - 30 days.
• Insurance - Up to USD 10,000 (IPD).
• Special leave - Country of origin's National Day.
• Working hours 8:00 to 17:30 (Monday to Friday).
• Transport to and from office.
