Company Background

We are representing our client; a proud subsidiary under a prestigious conglomerate in Laos and that have been around for almost 50 years. As they continue to expand with the newly established subsidiary in investment holding, they are seeking for a Chief Commercial Officer (Business Development) who can drive the organization's growth strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Lead market research efforts to understand industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.

Partnerships & Client Acquisition

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
  • Develop and negotiate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to enhance business growth.
  • Drive customer acquisition strategies and oversee sales efforts to expand the client base.

Revenue Generation & Profitability

  • Develop pricing strategies and business models that maximize profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of revenue targets.
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiencies.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team.
  • Foster a results-driven culture focused on innovation, customer satisfaction, and market leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product development, to drive business success.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Assess risks associated with new business ventures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate potential financial and operational risks.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business development success.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on business performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance data and market feedback.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or any related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles with strong network and industry knowledge in industry-specific expertise, e.g. banking, technology, healthcare, manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value deals and expanding market reach.
  • Experience in managing and leading business development teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to drive results and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data analytics, and business intelligence software.
  • Understanding of revenue models, pricing strategies, and profitability.
  • Must be willing to be based in Laos.

Benefits and Other Info:

  • One way moving allowance of RM 1,000.
  • Working Visa cost to be borne by employer.
  • Annual leave - 15 days.
  • Medical leave - 30 days.
  • Insurance - Up to USD 10,000 (IPD).
  • Special leave - Country of origin's National Day.
  • Working hours 8:00 to 17:30 (Monday to Friday).
  • Transport to and from office.
