What will I be doing?

As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Assist the supervisor to deal with monthly statement and prepare the monthly accounting voucher.
2. Ensure all reports are completed correctly and on time and prepare monthly financial statements to be distributed.
3. Adjust all general ledger accounts and update supporting documents.
4. Prepare weekly bank reconciliation and financial statements as required by the owner company.
5. Analyze and investigate the cashier's long and short funds.
6. Supervise cashier's funds to ensure monthly inventory is accurate; review the amount of social insurance and housing fund to ensure proper allocation.
7. Assist in training Finance department staff.
8. Review travel agent commission payments and ensure compliance with Hilton standards.
9. Review the adjustment and certification of food and beverage control.
10. Assist the DOF and Financial Controller to prepare budget, forecast report, and monthly report.
11. Familiarize with all accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOP.
12. Assume additional accounting responsibilities in the absence of the DOF and Financial Controller.
13. Ensure timely payment of taxes.
14. Handle all requests and inquiries in a timely, effective, and friendly manner.
15. Ensure work practices and safety are maintained to minimize risks.
16. Perform additional tasks to ensure smooth hotel operations.
17. Report and communicate accounting and financial control matters directly to the Financial Controller.
18. Coordinate and communicate with other departments on accounting issues and internal control.
19. Liaise with government departments such as tax authorities and industrial and Commercial Bureau.

What are we looking for?

A Chief Accountant at Hilton should embody the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that support our mission to delight guests and work collaboratively with Team Members. To succeed, you should:

• Hold a university degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Management (preferred).
• Have at least 3 years of experience as a General Ledger Supervisor or higher in the hospitality industry.
• Possess solid hotel accounting experience with a managerial role.
• Be mature and reliable.
• Maintain good relationships with local banks and government agencies.
• Have thorough knowledge of relevant accounting and tax laws.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Be flexible with working hours, especially at month-end.
• Possess a professional accounting qualification.
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
