A leading health supplements manufacturer in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Chemist to perform various chemical tests and develop specifications for products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an analytical lab, and strong analytical skills. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while managing laboratory equipment and methodologies.

  • Ability to work independently with strong commitment.
  • Preferably a member of IKM.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine analytical tests for materials and products.

Job description

An established health supplements manufacturer and exporter is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a broad range of chemical tests.
  • Conduct routine analytical tests for purified water, incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Develop test protocols and specifications for finished products.
  • Establish, manage, plan, schedule, and execute analytical method development and validation according to latest regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist the Validation Team with process validation, cleaning, and other qualification or validation activities, providing laboratory testing support.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot out-of-specification results.
  • Ensure all records are complete, properly compiled, and maintained.
  • Monitor and manage calibration requirements for all equipment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an analytical laboratory.
  • Ability to work independently with strong commitment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, FTIR, AAS, etc.
  • Preferably a member of IKM.
