Join Our Team: Chemist (Polymer Science – Latex Industry)
Sanctuary Health is seeking a talented and dedicated Chemist to join our dynamic R&D team. If you have expertise in polymer science, especially within the latex industry, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize latex formulations to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor and control chemical processes during production to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products for quality assurance.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to improve process efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of formulations, test results, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in handling and disposal of chemicals.
- Participate in research and development projects on latex and elastomeric materials to enhance product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Stay informed about new raw materials, technologies, and regulatory requirements affecting latex products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in latex or polymer-related research and formulation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a latex or polymer manufacturing environment.
- Prior work in medical device or dental product industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of natural and synthetic latex properties and formulation techniques.
- Experience with analytical instruments (FTIR, viscometers, tensile testers, elongation, pH, total solids, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical tools (e.g., viscometers, spectrophotometers).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
