Job summary

American Air Filter Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Gas Phase Product Specialist to drive development and reengineering of gas phase solutions. You will support technical sales, analyze product performance, and provide comprehensive training to the sales and field teams.

The role requires a degree in chemical engineering/chemistry-related fields and experience with air filtration or HVAC environments. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in Air Filtration Equipment, Cleanroom, or HVAC preferred, fresh graduates encouraged.
• Good knowledge of chemicals and their properties.
• Familiarity with chemical testing equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of Gas Phase standards and laboratory practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication, analytical and planning skills; ability to work independently.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible to manage new Gas Phase product development and reengineering support, technical sales support, gas phase product analysis support and gas phase training and education.

A day in the life of...

• Maintain and update Gas Phase product specifications, datasheets, and technical materials.
• Collaborate with R&D on product reengineering, media analysis SOPs, and joint research activities with third parties.
• Provide total technical solutions, investigate product complaints, and support on-site testing and air sampling activities.
• Review and endorse Gas Phase test reports and prepare air sampling guidelines when required.
• Conduct product, marketing tools, and testing equipment training for the sales team, including updates on new products and improvements.
• Prepare Gas Phase project reference lists and case studies while monitoring and sharing market trends across regions.
• To identify business opportunity through different segments, providing insight and ideas on how to target the different segments.
• To ensure proper gas phase solutions, media lifespan, media consumption rate and through engineering tools with calculations.
• To ensure adequate communication with the customers on the requirements, issues faced and mutual understanding.
• Other assigned duties as required by superior / management from time to time.

What will make you successful

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 - 2 years’ working experience in in Air Filtration Equipment, Cleanroom or HVAC industry. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Possess good knowledge on chemicals and its property.
• Familiar with chemical testing equipment and its procedure.
• Knowledge in Gas Phase standard and laboratory.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrate good critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills.
